Winter Fabrics with Helmut Lang, Rails, 360 Sweater & More

This week on The Chrissy B Show the theme was winter fabrics.  This week included luxury fabrics including cashmere, alpaca, Tencel/modal blends and ethical fur.

Due to the thinness of the materials used, these winter garments are not as bulky as wool yet provide the ultimate in comfort, warmth, and of course style.

Host Chrissy B is wearing a long star print 100% cashmere cardigan by 360sweater with a pure cotton grey vest underneath by IMG_8714American Vintage.

The look is completed with Paige straight fit denim and Sam Edelman round toed high heeled ankle boots.

DSC_9177I went for a rock and roll chic look to match my red-lipped makeup look. I paired skinny leather-look black denim by Paige with a sheer long sleeve cotton black vest by American Vintage and topped it off with a beautiful dip dyed fur gillet. The brand of the gilet is “Copenhagen’, and they specialise in ethical fur. Black fringed ankle boots by Sam Edelman compliment the silver zipper details of the jeans, completing the rocker look.

Make-up artist Maegan is wearing waxed metallic denim by PaigeIMG_8756 with statement zippers. The colour of the jeans is a statement on their own so I paired them with a solid black top.

One of my favorite Autumn/Winter pieces of this year, an asymmetric one arm poncho by Helmut Lang is ultra stylish and has great movement. The fabric is 100% alpaca, which is a very soft and warm material coming from South America. Fabulous silhouette, a special piece to add to your winter wardrobe.

Céline Lefèvre is modeling a very casual look, pairing her favorite black skinny jeans and vic ankle boots with a red check shirt by Rails under a black vest by Rag and Bone. The Rails shirt is a 50% tencil/modal blend providing much warm and comfort. Tencil and modal are natural fabrics like cotton or silk, but are cutting edge due to the technology used in developing the garments.

Christmas Fashion Saint Laurent Style, DVF & Vivienne Westwood

This week on The Chrissy B Show  is my third and final  week covering Christmas Fashion.  This weeks looks were inspired by Saint Laurent, Vivienne Westwood and Diane von Furstenberg.

 Host Chrissy B

Host Chrissy B is wearing Diane von Furstenberg’s  modernised version  of the 60’s  shift dress  in red.

To complete Chrissy’s look I chose a tassel necklace by Feather & Stone and pony skin kitten heels by Sam Edelman.

Stylist Cynthia Liza

I went for a look inspired by Saint Laurent.  I paired  Maje tuxedo trousers with a ruffle tuxedo shirt and Kentucky tie.  I make the famous “Le Smoking” look festive by adding a cropped sequin blazer by Pyrus.

Make up artist Maegan is wearing an asymmetrical black sparkle dress by Vivienne Westwood.  Because the sparkle is subtle in this garment, you can go wild with shoe colour.  A pair of open toe gold stilettos by Steve Maden complete this look.

Céline Lefèvre is modelling a red and black Italian vintage blazer.  Also inspired by Saint Laurent, I paired this blazer with Maje shorts  and chunky heeled ankle boots by Vic. Mix and match feminine and masculine silhouettes for a strong, confident look.

Tonight’s fashion segment on Christmas Fashion (including menswear and Dr. Rob Hicks as my model!) will air on The Chrissy B Show on Sky 203 Monday 24 November at 10pm, London.

Styling for Tonight: Another week of Vivienne Westwood

This week on The Chrissy B Show I once again chose garments from Vivienne Westwood‘s latest collection.

Stylist Cynthia with Host Chrissy B

Host Chrissy B is wearing a metallic pencil skirt constructed of brocade print fabric, and white neck tie button up shirt.

DSC_8843

A pencil skirt is a versatile staple that will make you look taller and slimmer, and it great for all body types.  Would also look amazing with a cropped blazer or knitwear.

Pencil skirts are best worn with a high heeled shoe, here Chrissy wears studded heels by Sam Edelman.

Neck piece buttoned.

I wore a tartan miniskirt suit.  This suit is cut asymmetrical and is very trendy at the moment.

Style your hair asymmetrically to regain balance.

This suit had a neckpiece that could be worn a number of ways, two of which you can see here.   Mary Janes by Guess.

Layering with gilets, leather, lace and fur

This week on The Chrissy B Show  designers garments in different fabrics were layered together to create the perfect transitional Autumn look .

 Host Chrissy B

I styled Chrissy B in a silk Pyrus blouse with silver sequin detail, leather look Citizens of Humanity jeans and Sam Edelman grey studded stilettos.  A “dip-dye” look fur gilet by Butterfly Copenhagen completes the glam rocker look.

Stylist Cynthia Liza

I went for a similar look with an all black base consisting of leather-look trousers by Helmut Lang, a long sleeved lace top by Rabens Saloner, and Sam Edelman ankle boots.  An oversized gilet by Furst add layer and texture to the outfit.

Maegan is wearing a silk blouse by Diane von Furstenberg with a subtle star print on the collar and black denim by Goldsign with Vic ankle boots. You can change the look by adding layers such as this black biker leather jacket and then topping the jacket with a gilet.
